Illustration Friday Word: Perennail

My take on it, a weed that persistently comes back each year and my stupid yorkie loves eating them even though he gets terribly sick afterwards. Maybe I did a bit of a cop out this week because perennial plants are one of the first things that come to mind, but i couldn’t shake this image out of my head and thought it would be something different in it’s own way. Forgot to scan my sketches when I was scanning the underdrawing you’ll just have to wait for another day to see those and some new drawings from the AMNH.

I finished my sketchbook today. This may be the fastest I’ve filled one, got it back in early February for the new semester. So these are the last pages, got some cute fantasy doodles, a marshmallow dog we saw while waiting to get into Source Code (inception ripoff minus a plot), drawings of people in class, and jewelry. Went to the Cooper Hewitt today for my Art in NY class to see their jewelry show. Got to see a 95carat yellow diamond. Wasn’t so impressed with the millions of dollars in gemstones, however there were a few amazing bird brooches and earrings which I drew. With the exception of the Scylla necklace, more of the drawings are somewhat accurate in actual size.
